Welcome!
Welcome to the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf!
We are a supplemental food relief organization
serving the 14526 and 14625 zip codes,
in addition to families of children in the Penfield School District.
Our mission is to alleviate food insecurity in the Penfield Community
by providing nutritious food to those
in need in a compassionate, respectful
and non-judgmental manner.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
Need Help?
To access food, please contact the Food Shelf
585-435-8406 and leave a message. A volunteer will get back to you. The Food Shelf is open on Wednesday and distributes fresh produce, eggs, and baked goods weekly. Non-perish food is also distributed once every two months by appointment
Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Financial Donation
Our ability to provide food and expand our operations to meet the growing demand relies heavily on your donations.
We have experienced a 50% increase in the number of families using our service and a 60% increase in the amount of food we are purchasing and distributing. In response to the rising need in Penfield we have restructured our operations and continue to reimagine the use of our space.
Donate Cans and Bottles
Drop off your bottles and cans
at Penfield Bottle and Can return
located at 1694 Penfield Rd. (Next to Steve's Diner and Michael Valley Grill).
The proceeds from your returns will then
be donated to the
Penfield Ecumenical
Food Shelf.
Adopt A Shelf
Our 'Adopt a Shelf" program
is a wonderful way to help
keep our shelves filled
in an ongoing manner.
Individuals, families, clubs, churches and civic organizations are often involved in supplying specific items.
